Irradiated Rainbow

It began at the park bench
As a musty haze of gray and silver,
It spread in an arc shape across the sky
Ending just over the broad, yellow
Streaming horizon,
Landing somewhere between
The Ganges River
And an unnamed mountain range.

Ash departed the edges of the arc
Dropping carelessly to the grass-glazed ground,
And simultaneously, blackened embers erupted
At the arc's origins, slowly slithering
Their way up that irradiated rainbow,
A silver, gray and black concoction
Made at nature's hands through
Beelzebub's eyes,

Until the arc shaped miracle
Collapsed and shattered...
And fragments of
Black, silver, and gray
Shaped like diamond daggers,
Falling like rain,
Scattered across the ground,
Like shards of glass,
Piercing the heart of humanity,
And the liver of God.
