I can't believe a thread about this wasn't made yet!

The 5th Generation Pokemon games, Pokemon Black and White (I swear to God if somebody talks about racism... >_>) were announced yesterday.
Little information is known besides the two revealed Pokemon, Zorua and Zoroark, the logos, and a couple of leaked CoroCoro scans of the games.

The games are to be released late this year in Japan, and sometime in 2011 internationally.

I saw this earlier on a site, I might actually consider getting a DS sometime, they look quite a bit more advanced than the last games I got (Think it was emerald). Tbh though i think their dragging Pokemon on a little, the old stuff was the best. Crystal was the last game i fully enjoyed but hey, might as well try these ones can't knock without trial.

Well they're trying to revamp everything. Maybe because the light dawned on Nintendo that it isn't much like Pokemon used to be. So maybe Nintendo will just learn. XD

Well I found Diamond and Pearl to be too much like Hoenn. (Hoenn's one of my favorites however) So we really need something new. And based on the scans it looks little to nothing like Diamond and Pearl. It looks fresh, new, and a lot of fun.

Finally remade the battle scenes, added 3D, Huge leap for Nintendo!

The games will definitely be backwards compatible with your HeartGold. It will have to be. So your work won't go to waste. You can just bring your Pokemon over.

Lol Probably. But most likely it's because of the lack of importance to the story of the games. Maybe the player may be able to ride in the truck. Also I love how the body of the trainer is so much more detailed and shows appendages very clearly.

In the movie mew was a female and mewtwo was a male. In the game they didn't have genders.

I would't go as far as saying it's racist, the point of pretty much all the games was to have complete opposites.

Well you have to understand that the DS was a brand new system and you're taking the simple walking around and pressing the A button, to the touch screen. It took a lot of work with the transition. It wasn't meant to be perfect.

In the movie mew was a female and mewtwo was a male. In the game they didn't have genders.

mewtwo was definitely male in the movie, and mew had a softer/higher pitched voice but never actually spoke other then saying it's name....so it's undetermined whether or not it's male/female

tho....if mewtwo was cloned from mew's DNA u think mew wud have to be male also...
