sorry. i haven't been on VT in while and am a little rusty on the lingo. im sure you get this question a lot (or at least something similar) but i couldn't find it in any of the rules/other FAQ things. the question is what are points? like what are they, how do you get them, does it have to do with your reputation? that kind of stuff. sorry again and thanks.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only form of "points" would be reputation points. Which is obviously directly related to your reputation power (what appears in posts).
Reputation points would appear if you hit "user CP" and scroll down to the bottom or if you hit the reputation button on one of your own posts.

How Do You Give Rep Points

Click on this button: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/bgold/buttons/reputation.gif under the 'mini profile' beside the post you want to give rep to, then click on a radio button if you want to give, or take rep from them, and give a reason.

When someone gives you +rep you pick up however many points that persons rep power is. For example, atm my rep power is 69, so if I +repped one of your posts your personal total rep points would go up by 69. Your rep power is based upon your total rep points, number of posts made and the length of time you have been a member on vt.

Ah now, there are other points, the dreaded infraction points, you get them for being bold on the forums.

Get enough of them and you get banned. they do have a time limit on them though so they run out
