A common question: both to be answered from the perspective of gay sex and 'normal', if you don't mind!
How can you get hiv/aids from oral sex/can you? from man on man and man of woman?
and what other STI'S can you get from oral sex? both again MonM and MonW.
Thank you

You can get HIV/AIDS from oral sex, but this is much rarer than having full sex.
HIV, the virus that eventually leads to aids, uses the blood system to get in your body. This means if you have an open cut in your mouth (like a canker sore) then it is possible for the sperm, that contains HIV, to enter your body through the cut in your mouth. I have never heard of it being transmitted just by consuming sperm that contains it (i.e. swallowing) as sperm nor the HIV virus can live in acidic environments, like your stomach.
HIV/AIDS can be transmitted to both women from men, men from women, and men from another man. HIV is NOT a virus of gay people, like many assume. It simply has a high number of infections in gay people because anal sex has a higher risk of getting cut/tearing/bleeding than vaginal sex. Since the virus prefers to travel via blood, it is easier for it to access a gay mans body. The virus contained in the vagina (of a woman with HIV) can enter the man's body via oral sex (with a cut in the mouth) or through penis-vaginal contact.
Other SDIs you can get from oral sex are numberless. Almost any type of STI that you can get can be transmitted via oral sex. The most common is herpes, which most people already have a form of the virus. Genital herpes and mouth herpes are made by the same virus, HPV, which can be transferred from mouth the gentiles, and genitals to mouth. Gonorrhea can be transmitted if your genitals come in contact with the other person...even if they are just sitting on top of one another. Crabs can be transmitted by any part of your body touching the other person's that is infected with crabs.
The STIs that are transmitted from men on men sex is also transmitted in men on women and women on women sex.

That is fantastic! Thank you s much, you have just told me more than I have ever learnt in school! So one: if you have no cut in the mouth, you cant really get it? hiv that is, and 2) silly question, but am i right in thinking that you can only et hiv if the person you have sex with has got it? I assume thats just common sense? Thank you so much again!!

You don't always know if there's a cut in your mouth. Sometimes you might have a cut in your throat and most people always have a cut (even very small) in there mouth...so you can't tell your partner "I don't have any cuts in my mouth, so I can't get your HIV".
Yes, the person having sex with you MUST have HIV or AIDS. Keep in mind most people with HIV do not know they have it and it is really really difficult to test for. You have to be infected for like 3 months before you can even test for it. People with AIDS always know they have it. Most people who do not get treatment while they are in HIV stage will not make it long once they enter the AIDS stage.
You can also get HIV from swapping blood (like during contact sports). Trace amounts of HIV is also found in tears, saliva, etc. but that is IMPOSSIBLE to transmit via spit, tears, etc. since the amount found is not enough to reproduce itself.
