Had a Seagate 320GB which was fine but it broke.However instead of lose all the data,I decided to take it to PC World and buy an enclosure for it.Which is like a cover for the drive.Unfortunately this isn't PS3 compatible and I've only got about 15GB of space left and my download list is currently 75GB!

So I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations.Preferably has to be 1TB and I'm looking to spend between £100-£150 (British Pounds).Could maybe stretch to £175 if I had to.

Definitely Has to be USB Powered.

Cheers

Craig.

No matter what drive you get, you will need to format it to FAT32 for the PS3 to recognize it.

Here is one on Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Elements-Desktop-External/dp/B002E7HEVU/ref=amb_link_134663827_7?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1DAQ9NBQ0MX3RPQ7KADM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=174604227&pf_rd_i=561904). Only 60 GBP, which isn't that bad. EDIT: This one isn't USB powered, but I doubt you will find one that is.

You will need something like Partition Wizard Home Edition (clicky) (http://download.cnet.com/Partition-Wizard-Home-Edition/3000-2094_4-10962200.html?tag=mncol) to format the drive, which has to be done.
PM me if you get the drive and have any trouble formatting it.

No you wont need that program, all major OSs support formatting in FAT & FAT32 natively (With Windows 2000+ supporting formatting in NTFS).
Also, most new external hard drives come pre-formatted in either FAT or FAT32, so it's not something that usually has to be done.

@the OP,
May I suggest a Western Digital drive? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002KQ1Z3I/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001BKSA6O&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=18H55TMRNSC8247NGPAP
It /is/ USB powered, & 1TB. Plus, it's only £134, which seems to be in your price range.
