Ok. So there's this really cute kid in my grade, let's call him Ray. Ray was the one that made me realize that I'm gay 2 years ago, and I told him as soon as I could. We're really good friends, despite the fact we have completely different interests, personalities, and physiques (Him: hockey player, non-intellectual, short and skinny. Me: Theatre geek, really smart, tall/average and slightly overweight). He's also very open about his apparent sexuality (straight), often making references to girls in a sexual manner. Despite this, I like him. a lot.
A few moths ago, I was bored in class while sitting next to him, and started poking him with a pencil. Long story short, I eventually started this thing with him where I rub the eraser of a pencil against his leg, and he likes it. So we've been doing that for a while now, and that alone might set off some warning bells about his sexuality, but I was too involved in thinking about him to care.
But, just a week ago, I noticed that he was kind of flirting with my old best male friend. I asked my best female friend to watch him, and she agreed, so I'm not crazy. So I've started to drop some hints that I like him, but he hasn't responded very conspicuously. However, I started adding my fingers in with the pencil thing so I was rubbing his leg at the same time, and he had no objections. I know it's weird, but hey, whatever works.
So, my question to you is: Does it seem like he is not what he says he is? Could he possibly like me? Anyone's opinion would help.
