Firefox has been giving me problems lately
I type in something in a box and it freezes and doesn't respond for a while and it does that a lot on certain sites some don't even have that problem
It's mainly forums and search boxes I guess and places where you click on things or whatever so I tried using Google Chrome - it did not have any problem
I think it's my computer because it's not the best but I want to fix this stupid problem...restarting doesn't help either

Clear cookies?
Use Safari ^_^
I have no idea the problem. Updated something lately? Could have broken something.

im in love with firefox and about after 4 days it starts to get stupid. i have tried so many browsers and most of them beat firefix. right now, i am using a browser on my mac called "Cruz"
it is super, super, super fast and totally responsive. try using opera. but after a while, opera pisses me off a lot. safari, you definatly wont have any problems with.
im constantly looking for new browses to use ALL THE TIME! and i have yet not found one where i can stick too besides firefox and safari and opera. those are the best browsers imo. chrome sucked big ass. lol. WAY TOO SLOW FOR ME!.

if clearing your cookies/cache doesnt work the problem could be in an add-on you installed that is slowing/freezing your browser or interfeering with how the browser is supposed to work. also you covld try deleting your temp. internet files, there might be a minor virus in them that is doing this, even if it doesnt fix the problem it will increase the space on your harddrive. thats everything i can think of other than just a slow computer or internet connection

Re-install it.

Sounds to me like spyware, that tends to slow sites from loading. Try running spybot search and destroy and see if that helps, if that comes back clean or the problem still exists I would go for a full reinstall, manually deleting all of Firefoxes files yourself, there will be a list of files to delete online and then install and you should be good to go :) Best of luck!

If you have any addons (like flash), you might want to try firefox in "safe mode". You can get to it by going to the firefox folder in your start menu. If it works fine in safe mode, you'll have to find out which addon is causing the crashes/glitches.

I'm ex-Firefox dev team, and did a biut of support stuff on the IRC. It sounds to me as if that isn't Firefox, but another problem on your computer. PM me.
