What would you do if one of your parents over-dosed? My mom did...and Im not sure if I should help her or if I should be angry with her.

It's happened before, when i was in year 8 (7th grade) roughly the same age as you. i was off with flu, me and mum were the only ones home. She'd started drinking, at the time she was a heavily reliant on vodka/rum. I found her downing all her medication and outrightly telling me there was nothing left for her to live for, and that i'd need to learn how to support myself. I called an ambulance and my dad, and she was taken to hospital with luckily no harm other than drowsiness. I was angry with her at first for doing that to us, and wondering how she could be so selfish. But being in the position myself i've learnt there's usually a reason behind it. Don't be angry with her, you need to support her and let her know there are people there that care about and need her. Try and spend some time with her. If you need to rant to someone, or just talk feel free to pm me, i know how difficult it is to have something like this happen. I hope she gets better.

I would give her the support she needs. For what ever reason she OD'd for. If she needs attention I get her attention. Parents are the most important people in your life and it isnt nice if you lose them at an early age.
