Okay , well to start off i wear glasses . My vision is pretty bad. Like no joke i cannot see 5 inches away, it just gets blurry. Anyways since late Jan or Early Feb this year, i have been noticing it has been getting worse. I am almost at the point where i can't make out people's faces. I have to listen to their voice. And yeah you might say "Oh well get it checked out" I would , but the problem is that it persists on getting worse and i do not plan and getting new glasses , every 2 weeks at the least. Well there's more, Just today in my Pre-Cal class, i has this INTENSE sharp pain in my left eye. i just had to bear with it. I didn't really learn anything. But i also noticed, this brown thing in my vision . Lol, it looks like this little mark , but where ever my point of sight goes , the brown little thing follows with it. It looks like a bacterial thing, or some cell. I am not sure. But i can see it. [i am sure most of use can mostly see the cells of something in our ordinary sights, .. i think]. From the external view, my eyes seem perfectly normal. i have checked for cloudy stuff. None yet.. But , my grandpa just went to the ER, once i got home. My parents are both VERY well aware of what i am going through. My dad says he will probably get me laser surgery later. Once, he sells a house he is currently building, then use that money to pay off the surgery. [who knows when that is] No i do not own medical insurance, They think it's just a waste appearantly. And plus i am starting to have doubts in me. Like i just think it is only just going to get worse and the surgery is not going to do much or none at all. I have a odd feeling i might or just end up blind. That's my fear. But im just using up my last bits of courage to keep myself standing. My best friend thinks its the computer, and yes i am going to take a break from it too. I guess i am getting not much support. I am just trying to do this alone , But that's a complete lie. I hate being alone. ugh..... Well my question is what do i do ? And am i sounding selfish ot something, but do you think my besty could have been supportive or something positive. i guess that's what i want to hear.. But i do not want lies. I want the truth. Thank you for reading.

I see two issues here, and I will try to break them down:

Eye Sight

The reality is that you need to have an eye examination, and there is no way around it. You do not necessarily have to see an opthamologist, and you just need to see an optician who can give you a basic eye test. If you are in America, then going to a place like Four Eyes, Pearle Vision, or LensCrafters are all good choices as you can get an eye exam for $100 or less. In puberty there are a lot of changes not the least of which can include eyes. One has to go for an eye exam at least one every two years.

Spots

My guess is that you have floaters which are generally harmless and are quite common in nearsighted people. If I remember my optholomology, then floaters are simply pieces of the wall of the eye which kind of come loose as the retina changes shape over time. Of course, if you see tonnes of floaters come out at one, then that is a sign of a retinal tear, and you have to seek emergency treatment immediately. However, if you are seeing a group of floaters without any increase to them, then you are fine. There really is no way to get rid of them without some major eye surgery which most opthamologists shy away from especially if your eyesight is relatively normal.

The following might help you:

1) http://www.uic.edu/com/eye/LearningAboutVision/EyeFacts/Floaters.shtml
2) http://www.nei.nih.gov/health/floaters/floaters.asp#a

Basically, floaters are usually not a big deal in near-sighted people, and you can learn to ignore them over time.

As for your lack of insurance, you might want to see if your local State or County health department offers services for the uninsured in your area as they sometimes have eye doctors come in who offer free or reduced cost services.

Get an eye examination. Also make sure you go to more than one eye doctor to see if the lenses they request are the same.

Sadly some eye doctors will prescribe you lenses that will make your eye adjust to them. It will hurt

For example, I needed glasses. BUT I once could see the words on the computor monitor....but weeks later when I got my glasses it made my eyes watery and I know cant see the monitor without my glasses
