Pimples?

On my scrotal sack ive got a couple of little white pimples ,they jsut look like acne i get on my face, but i tried spot cream and they havent gone away. I haven't had sex so it can't be an STD (or can it??) i had some before but tehy just went away a week later, but these ones have been here a while. Any idea what they are?? Also up the shaft of my penis i have the same pimples but there aren't white, just bumps. I got told that they are just hair follicles though.

It's basically hair follicles.

They aren't harmful and are not pimples.

DO NOT use anything for your face on your gentiles.

They may go away with puberty. Sometimes, they may never go away.

K, it was just weak spot cream, not proper perscription stuff

Just because it is over the counter doesn't mean it is weak.

Prescription just means it is fit to suit you more...specifically.

Some of the strongest stuff can be over the counter.

Yea I've had them and hair grew there and they dissapeared after it

My initial guess is what you have are just hair follicles. Especially if you do not currently have hair on your scrotum, then you probably are developing hair down there which is normal for all guys. As long as the dots are not oozing out puss or are painful, then you are fine as those white dots usually appear before hair grows in.

As for what is on your penis, those might simply be hair follicles, or they can be Fordecye's Spots (sp?) which are a kind of minor skin blemish which a lot of guys have. As with the other bumps/lumps, as long as they are not painful or oozing anything out, then they are perfectly normal.

While there is nothing medically emergent about your problem you can always run over to your school nurse and get his/her opinion on what he/she sees. Also, the next time you see your doctor for a check up, then you can have him/her take a look at you as such a request is perfectly fine.

yeah i was worried about the same thing when i was your age just know that they are hair follicles in the process of growing.
