Gawd usually I'm a smart guy, but sometimes my mind just goes fn blank.

My best friend has grown up a bit more than me I fear, known him for 10 years and he's getting more friends. He tries to introduce me to them, and I am thoroughly acquainted with many of them, but they can't possibly think very much of me when I'm with them all while they're having a good time, and I can't say a damn word.

And if I do say something, it's so dumb that it might as well be gibberish. I'm not speaking like a complete retard im just not in the "flow" of the conversation.

Meaning that I drift in and out of the conversation, and each time I try to commit to staying with the flow, I lose it.

This wouldn't be so much of a problem if I could ever hang out with my best friend without his friends again. But I doubt that will happen.

I think it might be because of my priorities or something. I'm there trying to make friends, while they're just having a good time I guess. I don't fucking know.

Oh and BTW these smiley faces are abit too cute for a depressed teen forum.

postcount faces are staying man. they've been here since it was started it ain't changing.

but i get what your talking about. I tend to either go mute, or babble about something semi-related
i guess the best way is to calm down like relax, and talk slowly. get your thoughts in order first.

You sound much like me, I just think my problem is to open myself to people, but when I meet new people or just talking with someone from my class, I have it to just be quiet and when I finally say something it sounds just wrong. It's probably because I'm so timid, shy and quiet ... :/ Hope some can give advice here..

It happens to me too. All you have to do is be yourself. Once I stopped trying to act cool infront of people, they started to like me, and it was easy to talk to them. Best of all,no more acting! They like you for who you are.

Also, I'm naturally quiet in front of strangers, but I've been working on that, and now I'm outgoing to the point that I'm STARTING the conversations now

I have the same problem. I try to deal with it. Expecially around girls I cant seem to keep a long conversation.
