The 20" Acer monitor on our computer died today, it just stopped working just out of the blue. Absolutely nothing will appear on the screen, not even the monitor settings menu. I know its getting power becaise the power light is on and i can hear computer sounds through the built in speakers.

Its not a major inconvenience, its just now we're back to a 15" Gateway monitor thats well.... Smaller. I'm going to look for some sort of reset button tomorrow, but if I have no luck is it completely dead?

If you hold a light up to the screen, can you still see stuff?
I ask, because it could just be the power inverter, which is relatively easy & cheap to fix.
