What should i do? heres my situation.

I am a 16yr old lad, who gets on with a few ppl, didnt used to leave house much. now i have a girlfriend im out most days with her. she lives around 6 miles away so a bus is usually only option. although i love going to hers, theres some lads from where i live also travel thorugh to see their girlfriends. and they are 'wrong ones' they are into drugs, violence and fights. not me at all.
Well. this kid, used to be canny with me, now decided to turn on me and didnt like the fact i didnt wanna hang out with him earlier. and now hes spreading bullshit to other kids saying i called they dick heads and shit like that, i didnt. i dont have proof. but i didnt. and the threats that are coming through the phone from one kid who i didnt wanna meet up with earlier is incredible. i have recorded most of them. and i dont know where i stand or what to do.

in addition to this, it isnt fair on my girlfriend to have to live near such dickheads or even her to see them. and ive dont nothing wrong really. but the kids a fucking druggy. dnt need that crowd of ppl. and i dont want to get into a fight at the end of the day. last thing i want.

but he travels alot, what if i bump into him one day? whats he gonna do? i cant defend myself agaisnt him, he takes on groups of ppl, not that he always wins but he does fight alot, i dont need the shit.

i want to see my girlfriend but i dont want to meet with them, but its very hard not to see them.

She could come through to mine, but the kid lives near me, the threats are increasing, im scared to turn my phone on. and i dont know where i stand. if i go to the police, they will look at it all but then, what do i do when he gets out? he knows where i live. he could put my windows out? what do i do...
if i just leave it. it could develop into worse.
I could try to reason with him, but hes just gets high every day and doesnt understand anything. it would be worthless to try because hell be high.
another thing is to stand up and fight, yet again he could knock me down to size and fuck me right up.

I dont want to get on his wrong side. but the kids he is telling shit about are my mates. but they beleive him aswell.. i dont know.. i dont want a kick'in and i dont want to fight. i just want to be happy. why the fuck does this shit happen to me. my life is severly fucked up.

Please, allow people to see the sense in the world. assholes are not worth getting involved wiht (the ppl)... but the sense of them is negotiable.

Another suggestion is to Pump the shit outta me in the gym. become fitter, stronger and learn to fight. and put them into play when i confront him.

The threat i last recevied was
"Im going to strngle you in the taxi with the seatbelt"

...............................................................................

Now i have 2 weeks off from school, although i am going to have to report this to someone.. this just cant happen....
I dont want to be hurt.... help...

If someone is sending you violent threats, telling the police is the best option.

When someone states a threat, most of the time they do not go through with it. They just want to scare you, and he is succeeding. Call the police, he'll get a a good couple of years for all the drugs, lol, and then plus the threats. He'll get his shit rocked by the police for a couple years in prison or juvie.

Oh, I see you're in England, I don't know about your guys' drug laws, so never mind my statement, but he'll still get in a lot of trouble.

You should immediately call the police and let them know what's going on. Try to not go anywhere or be anywhere alone. Call your closest and most trustworthy family members, friends you know. Keep all threatening text messages, phone calls and emails for your records.

It almost been a month. So how did things work out? I think you should have informed the police.
