View Full Version : Can't Sleep or Wake up VERY Early Morning

Most of the time, i can't sleep by myself cause i'm scared of (i guess you can call 'em) ghosts or spirits appearing in my room. Usually i wake up about 2 or 3 in the morning and can't sleep anymore so i go sleep in my parents' room or in my sister's room. Please help me with this problem cause i don't like sleeping with other people even though that makes me comfortable. Any solutions?

I know sleeping with my dog helps me relax. (She makes a good pillow too) If you don't have any pets, maybe you can adopt one. If that's not an option, perhaps a stuffed animal or playing music will help.

You are getting distracted at sleep time, I don't know everything about this, but one of my friend has experienced it before.
It is a cycle that takes a while to fix. He tried staying up 20 hours so he could sleep early the next night; it worked for a few days but I\he went back to being a slug staying up all night.
He guesses he needed to keep busy during the day to basically, get tired. You need a motivation to wake up in the morning.
When you start working, that should be your motivation.

Avoid using TV and Computer before you sleep.

no scary movies for you! that can get your mind racing. sleeping with a dog or stuffed animal works. see a doctor if your insomnia gets really bad, you can get meds for it that way.

DAM I love sleeping with people xD So fun [sleep-wise] lol.
Anyways. you have too much on your mind. just try to calm down first of all. Try playing a gameboy or some video game or something to distract you . I guess Tv right ? Well insomnia is Really bad. i used to experince it for a short time. well i guess long while. If the problem is just you STAYing asleep, then get fat. lol well what i mean is , get full of food [not sweets, of course] before you go to bed. it works with most people , cuz they get so sleepy. Work out , till you pass out. Or even some ni-quil or sleeping pills.

Okay. Don't watch at least an hour before you go to bed, no phone, music...
And perhaps go for a walk or something late in the afternoon. Your mind is clearly all over the place, maybe you just need to clear it :)

I suggest not to watch the horror TV serials or the suspense movies at all, if you are scared of all these things at night. Better you can hear the good songs, you like, take the company of good people and walk through the park before going to sleep, as you body warms up and it will relax you soon. If you are comfortable with the lights, then don't switch off the lights of your room. It can be a great support for you as well.
One more thing you can do is that, you can place an iron rod or a knife below your pillow. I don't know whether it will work for you or not, but, i have heard from the old age persons that you mind will be calm & cool and no distracted feelings will hurt you.

This could also be an anxiety issue, the top 2 causes of insomnia are depression and anxiety. Anxiety should be treated by a doctor or therapist if possible.
