ok so i want to do alittle acting. i auditioned for a small movie and got it, but thats not untill the summer. ive been looking around everywhere for auditions but i cant find any. i might be taking a class soon which will help but i still need to find auditions. im not sure if im a good actor or not because i havent been in anything yet. i just want to get exposure and start up a resume. if anyone acts can you please tell me about where to find auditions and maybe links to monolouges. anything that can help me start my carrer. BTW i live in NY

I'm also thinking of becoming an actor myself. So you can take advice from me. Taking acting classes is a good start.

Search casting calls in google. Remember, you're not going to get a major lead role when you first start acting. Accept small extra positions, or small roles in commercials.

Don't expect to make a living doing it though. Being totally honest, you have a slim to none chance of becoming real successful actor.

yea im probably taking the classes, and i know im not going to be rich, its just been a dream ever since i was little. like i said im in a movie but it shoots durring the summer, and the director and i have become very good friends. he is helping me find audition and monolouges and stuff (almost like an agent) if you have any good websites for casting calls or monolouges can you please msg me with them. id love you forever :)
