Coughed up a little blood

I was skateboarding, I fell down some stairs ( Fail ) and hit my stomach off a railing and coughed up a little blood. Should I like, get this checked or something. I'm feeling fine now, but still.

I got it checked. My doctor said everything was fine, he just gave me a prescription for some pills that are supposed to heal something.

Coughing blood isn't something that would happen unless you're bleeding internally, duh.

Usually coughing up blood resembles an inner nose bleed (a bloody nose where the blood goes down the throat, not out the nose) or a lung bleed (cancer, etc. can cause this).

The best remedy is to get checked out. Quick and painless.

i have personally coughed up blood before, which was caused by an infection. luckily wasn't internal bleeding, but that's a definite possible sign of it. if it happens again or you start feeling pain internally, get it checked, definately not something to take lightly.

friend actually died from an internal hemorrhage he never got checked. =(
