I've noticed over the last few days that different parts of the forum have different bump restrictions, which gets quite confusing if you don't know what they are for each forum. Could we have a sticky or something in the FAQ that states what each forums acceptable bump rules are? I'd be happy to do it myself if I can be given the information.

I would like that.
Recently I've been looking at the date of the last post and just not posting because I didn't know the guidelines for each separate forum.

In P101, things that haven't been posted in for more than 4 weeks is a bump.
Polls, surveys only get locked if they are like... ancient.
H&A and GD are bumps if they haven't been posted in for a month or so.
In the ward, its up to the Mod.
Less active forums, the bump rule is higher, so i doubt a month bump will be locked.

It's really common sense.
p101 is the strictest beacuse it moves so fast.

generally 1 month or if the OP is banned

But like the skitzophrenia sub forum... that might get a new thread once a month. A month bump isn't a bump if its on the top of the page lol

True Kyle, But sometimes its hard to know because the activeness in each forum can change quite quickly at times. Lately I've been reporting things I've thought was a bump and it actually wasn't, just thought it might be helpful to know what is and what isn't regardless.

What siobhan said is right. If you follow that you should be fine

The trick is to not post in threads past page...3 or so

I usually follow the one month rule for everything
unless it is a very slow moving thread
