Ok, so I've been running on an elliptical machine everyday for 30 minutes, and drinking 2+ bottles of water everyday for like a month and my calves havent gotten any smaller. and I havent had desert in a month, so why am I not losing weight?
how long was it until any of you lost weight when you started to excersize and eat well.

I lose weight almost immediately when I eat and exercise so as to create a caloric deficit. And that, of course, is the answer to your question: if you're not losing weight, you're not eating less calories than you burn.
But are you really sure you're not losing weight? Do you have a reliable scale on which you measure yourself? It's very easy to not notice your weight changes if you're not well-attuned to your body and don't have good measuring equipment; likewise, it's easy to think you're eating well or eating less calories when in fact you're not. Precisely measuring these things is very difficult - and calf size is not necessarily the best way to figure it out, since the size of individual muscles can change without your overall body weight changing. If you're doing it properly, though, you should lose weight.

Your post kind of contradicts itself. You're saying that doing what you are doing your calves haven't gotten any smaller, but at the end you ask why aren't you losing weight. There is a difference between losing weight and losing body fat.
So what do you want to do? Lose body fat or weight?
Also remember spot reduction doesn't work... your body as a whole has to lose body fat to see a difference.
