How do you do it? ive got a really painful one which at the moment is causing more pain than my stitches, right on the edge of my lip and it keeps catching on my brace.

Ive tried saltwater washes and mouthwash but it doesnt seem to be working. Any other methods to get rid of them?

1. Massage the gums with coconut milk and honey thrice a day.
2. Take 1 tsp of coriander seeds in 1 cup of water and boil to make slightly warm. Gargle 3-4 times a day.
3. Application of peppermint oil to the mouth ulcers gives relief from pain and irritation.
4. Daily eat banana with curd in the morning.
5. Mix a pinch of turmeric powder to 1 tsp glycerine and apply this solution on ulcers.
6. Make a solution of 2 oz hydrogen peroxide, 2 oz water, 1 tsp of salt and baking soda. Rinse the mouth with this solution but remember do not swallow that solution.

Have you tried using Bonjela on it? Also, there is a spreadable gel you could rub on it, called Corsodyl. There is also a type of mouthwash from the same brand which deals with gum problems. The Corsodyl gel is quite effective (I'm prone to ulcers myself and have used it), and its quick and painless. Im not sure if you can use it with braces, but its worth asking your chemist about.
