I one day want to be a state trooper when i come 20 and a half State law says you can carry a gun around at 21. But there is the problem of my one leg since i have a prosthetic some say it would be hard to go through the tough training that you have to have to go through (Its Military style) and iam just wondering if there is a posiblity that my left leg will slow me down. And i even asked a state trooper if i can get in the force and he said that there is no restricions on people with one leg and that they recently had a aputee graduate there training and that by law they have to let you try the corse or they cant say you cant do it for a amputation. But what iam asking is if anyone thinks i can go thorgh the training part. (it is military type of training)

I'm not sure what stuff they require one to do physically but if you know what is done, then try training for the parts you can train for, then I think if you also have the will, you'll succeed.

Why at 20.5 years old?
Why can't it be just 20 or 21?

Im pretty sure that you can't become one until 21 if you can't carry a gun until 21...


but if you want to become a state trooper, don't be discouraged...keep trying

well Regulus the law for the state says that you cant carry a gun under 21 but when you start training at 20 to 20.5 arond there i think i hread its a year to 6 month course arond there and by the time of graduation you will be 21.

Why don't you call the state and ask them some questions you have...im sure they would be happy to answer them

well i could try that but i know/see some state troopers (havent been in trobel) i can ask them thats mostly were i got a good amount of my info from but i just wonder if anyone thinks i can do it i belive i can.

well i just emailed a Recurter for the state troopers and going to get a relplie soon but it is 21 for them the cop i talk to was a city cop a bigger diffrence.
