Does anybody know a good Emulator for the Nintendo 64? I have Project 64 but the ROMS usually lag alot. ( Or is it the roms that are laggy...? )

I will list some of the one I use, and tell you on what they are good at. And in alphabtical order as well.

1964 - Is awesome for slow comps, and it is packaged as a exe. You need the right plugin to make it tick.

Corn - Is the fastest emulator ever, the problem is you get some glitches.

Daedalus- It is ok, nonetheless a popular emu.

Mupen64 - Good, it also works in multiple OS.

Nemu64 - At the recommendation of Desolation. It is good and I played it, but we were awaiting updates.

Well.... The best of all after 1964 and Project is

UltraHLE(not super<< this is a replica)

UltraHLE delivers the best emulating and real game sensation in it. It is a plugin based, you got to play with some plugins to make it shine. And here is your pick.

We should make an official thread on Emulators.

Ask away anything regarding Emu'. I am a professional Emulator coder....OK OK user! Happy(:P). I am not renowned as hell, but I do have expertise in this field.

Try Emulator Zone (http://www.emulator-zone.com/) Matt. Their 100% Safe downloads. This is what i use mostly, but Nemu64 worked best/fastest for me. I think its just the speed of your computer combined with the actual emulator to be honest, i've found using my faster laptop with more memory, RAM, etc.. I've been able to play without it lagging so much.

I would've mentioned Nemu64, but the problem is that the team stopped updating it.

If it did, then I will be dazzled.

It still works perfectly fine despite the fact its not an updated version though, i use it on a weekly basis, haven't had any problems yet.

Project64 is the best one I know of. Generally though, if an emulator is lagging you probably have an inferior CPU. Emulators are generally far more CPU intensive than anything else.
