1) Is masturbating during your period harmful in any way?

2) I heard that if you masturbate during your period, your period becomes shorter. Is this true?

3) Are there any side effects of masturbating during your period that is not harmful, just annoying or emberassing?

Great question! Tonight was actually my first night trying and I am on my period. My mom has been asleep but I got real nervous and wasted about three tampons... I was wondering the same thing so thanks everyone for the help... Btw how do u masterbate with a tampon in????

Actually, possibly to question two. It more has to do with having sex on your period, though. When your vaginal walls contract during an orgasm, it makes all that junk flow faster (heavier at first means less at the end). So yes, it could shorten the total length of your period.
