This is unbeliveable!!! I forget what the numbers are but there are something like 11 million illigal aliens in the Untited States!! The Mexican boarder is full of holes and no one wants to do anythign about it. Bush cirtainly wont because he probably wouldnt have been prez again with out the Mexican votes! And Mexico has released a dvd on instrustions on how to cross the boarder to the united states. And will Bush do anything about it?? No, not a damn thing. Another thing is these safe haven citys. If a cop sees someone, they cant ask if they are in the united states legally. Even if the person is illigal, they cant arrest them just for that. They have to let them go. Only if they commit a crime are they sent back to mexico, but you know what?? They come right back in. This is an outrage and something needs to be done because Bush wont do a thing about it!

we have the same problem in britain. all these ppl from east europe (romania etc.) and the middle east, somehow manage to walk through the channel tunnel ( an underwater railroad from england to france). blair's too busy having his head up bush's ass. all he cares about is bombing baghdad.

First of all, once they're here, NOONE can ask them if they're illegal or not. Because of that, their children can be enrolled in school, they are elligable for healthcare, and now people are trying to give them driving liscences.

Everyone who tries to come across the boarder illegally should be shot, and anyone illegal in this country should be deported

Thats pretty harsh Cosomos! Mexico is a very very bad place, almost anyting goes (shootings, Kidnappings, rapes) down their without the person being caught, and also it sounds like your being predjudace (i'm not saying you are it just sounds like it) Maybe the parents want their kids to have a better life then they did, it is wrong for ilegal aliens to come to America, but you have to look at their views, all I'm saying is they should tighten the border, but not shoot them down just ship them back....

It's Clinton who cut the boarder patrol in half and cut the budget of the INS so deeply that the boarders can't be patroled well.

Don't blame Bush for leaving boarders open.

The other issue in this is that farmers in the western and southern areas of the United States depend on illegal immigrants to harvest crops. These farmers can't harvest all of their crop without them. Illegals do lots of the jobs that wouldn't get done if they weren't there.

Now, this does create a problem with welfare and medicaid, as illegal immigrants are getting US aid without being citizens. I think that's what should be cut. They should be able to get jobs no one else wants to do, but they shouldn't be collecting any welfare!

Ok, now why wouldnt we blame Bush for leaving the borders open? He knows exacly whats going on down there, and what does he do? Nothing. Instead, he wants to get rid of the Minuet Men that are trying to help out. If Bush was smart, he would call out the national guard, patch up all of the holes, and put more people on patrol. Simple as that. But no, i guess the 11 million illegal immigrants in this country isnt enough. We must have to wait till there is about 55 million of them screwing up the system. :evil:

It seems like some of you are just out to get Bush. As Cosmos is saying, Bush has tried to fix some of the damage that Clinton did.

In strengthening the boarder, he's upset the farmers who use immigrant labor, so there's talk of some sort of special visa for that sort of thing.

If you have read anyother posts i have made, i am all for Bush. The war ect. im all for. But not what hes doing with the boarder.

How are they tightening the borders? I havent seen anything. All i have seen is the Minuetmen out in texas, but they were not sent out by Bush. Those are people that feel as though that Bush is not protecting them and they are doing it themselves.

Sure Bush has the new plan that any American that has gone out of the country, in order to come back in they have to have a passport, but that is not going into effect untill 2008. But that still wont solve the problem of all of the holes in the border walls and fences.

Yes, there are canadians that do comeing. Surtainly not as much as the Mexicans but there are still some Canadians that come in.

you are now required to show a passport when entering the country. before i could use my passport to get into canada, lose it, and come back. you cant do that anymore
