Basically I am having massive IT problems at the moment. But the jist of it is I have a document from Word 2007, docx, and I need to open it in Word 2003 and it wont work. So I need to know is there a way I can make it work?

All you have to do is edit the file extension on the program where you made it, (In 2007) And save it as a word 97-2003 Document, or a RTF So you can open it in word pad/any word document. Hope this helps

theres your answer. imo, this is just another one of microsofts biggest mistakes. not everyone has word 2007 or higher. my parents use 2002 and i use 2008. lol. and sometimes when you want it in another version instead of docx, most of the time it loses a lot of your information, or, the styles arent compatable enough, etc. some people have iwork and not all of docx's can be loaded into pages. i tried that once and my paragraph formating was all screwed up, i put it in word 2008, for some reason, it added extra spaces between lines. this is just another huge microsoft mistake imo. IM NOT JUST SAYING THAT CAUSE I LIKE APPLE INSTEAD! ITS TRUE! my uncle is a computer wiz and he even said it was a huge mistake and some of his documents got screwed up because of docx.

Cheers guys!
I have a laptop thats riddled with a virus which I then passed to my other laptop. Have no idea how to get rid of it. :( So I will be giving it to the nice man in ILTG in college to fix.
So had to use my desktop which uses Office 2003. Decided very quickly I hated Office 2003 so went out and bought 2007.
It has been a stressful weekend. :P
