Mod faces

Doug (old Doug, as in CARNAGE, not new Doug :P) brought this up a couple of years ago and we deemed it impossible because of phpBB but now that we're on vB it could probably be done. I was thinking that moderator faces should only display in the forum that that moderator moderates. For example, mine would only show up in the psychiatric ward.

I suggest this as it seems like the entire site is turning blue and it creates the illusion that there are way more mods than there actually are and it can cause confusion by not knowing what forum he/she moderates.

What do you guys think?

I understand what your saying. But i think you should keep the faces everywhere. I mean what about the green name ??? That sybols moddism

I think it's a good idea, however, I'm not entirely sure how we would implement this. Though I do like the idea. :)

Yeah they do. We could ask one of the Gov admins. (Leo is corrupt, probably better to go with Phil :P)

I don't like it. Yeah, they do it on Govteen n.n but I just don't like it here. I don't want to sound lazy, but I like to know who the mods are without having to go to the forum, or go to the view forum leaders page. Besides, it really does look good with all the moderator faces that are posting in the HQ :D

i dont think you would get a mod face for your diary. at least i dont think you would. it would just be that whoever has a mod face now, i.e. those who are mods of forums like Puberty etc. would just have their mod face in there own forum.

Yea because Diary owners are not mods. they are diary owners.

Even though that sounds very contradicting I see what you mean. I just thought it'd be a good idea to distinguish who is the diary owner since it would only be in that forum and not everywhere like how it is now.

But on the flip side diary owners change a lot so if it's a lot of work to do with the admins when removing and adding new diary owners a lot, then I think the idea should go down the drain. It's not that worth it.

Oh I remember reading an old thread that there were diary owner avatars but they were removed b/c there were too many diary owners. How about bringing them back and only them being visable in the dairy owner's forum?

I think post count faces were invented by GovTeen and Triple7 and TheWizard are from Gov, so that's how they might of got them :| I think Kevin's custom 5000+ post count face and Triple7's Mediator face (that one was my favorite :cry:) was lost after the trade-off from PHPBB to VBulletin. I guess they removed the diary owner faces forever. I'm not sure.

P.S Post count is now 666 :devil: Ok it's not the devil -.- Look my post count's a myth!

Yes there were Diary Owner Faces. and since there are so many diary owners I don't think it would be necessary. Yes All the face are GovTeen orginated (Donnie that site i gave you) and Kevin and Triple7 faces were lost. They allow custom faces on GovTeen after a certani amount of posts.

err.. i havnt really read the thread, but if u guys are talking about gettign diary owners faces, i just thought u shud know we used to, but we scrapped the idea of them, as there were more people with 'special faces' then without, so yeah.

Nope. I hated that idea. I sugested making mod faces display only in the forum that that moderator moderates.

Trust me, it was terrible. It was like the 1000+ face but light blue and said "Diary Owner" on it. When then entire forum has either a Mod face or a Diary OWnr face it can get really annoying.
