Taking a shower might help. If you think it may be serious it doesn't hurt to get it checked out from a doctor just to be safe that way if it is serious you can resolve it. hope this helps

There could be a couple of issues going on here which might be causing your issue.

Firstly, if you are starting to grow hair around your privates and on your actual penile shaft, then that is a major fact in what is causing your itch.

Second, the "crotch rot" which was mentioned earlier might be a reference to jock itch which is a very common fungal infection which causes itching around the genital area. If you are seeing flaky, inflammed, or irritated skin, then you might have a jock itch problem. Especially if you are on an athletic team or use communal showers, then you might have caught that problem as it is very contagious. Jock itch is very easy to treat as Lotriman is a good product to use.

Thirdly, if you don't shower after masturbating and there is dried semen on your penis for a while, then that can really cause itchiness. Shower after masturbating as that can relieve your problem.

Forthly, if you have a foreskin, then make sure you are cleaning around it as that might be the cause of your problem, too.


You can use something such as Calomine lotion or Gold Bond anti itch cream to alleviate your problem. Clearly, if your problem continues or gets worse, then talk to your parents. (Also, if your school has a nurse, then he/she is a good resource with whom to talk about your issue).

This is quite common, usually the itch is from the hair growing down there. It will go away with time. It could also be jock itch as mentioned earlier..

or maybe just caused by sweat

if ur not noticing anything abnormal (any new marks, redness, sores ect....shud probly see a doctor is there are) then i say just was really well in the shower and maybe put some moisturizer on after, or if u think it's caused from sweating try using some baby powder to dry out the area
