Pi day

anyone here celebrated pi day in their math class? It was officially yesterday, but we celebrated it today.

we got to eat cookies and donuts ( and I got a really yummy chocolate pie....)....

and there was this 8th grader that recited pi to 144 digits!! (I'm in Hon Alg 2 btw)

anyone here good at reciting pi? Lol I can only get it to 5 digits....

We used to celebrate it back in high-school although there wasn't any pie or cake to go around. A few teachers were into it and someone could get a little candy bar if they offered to recite a lot of pi numbers but other teachers just came in and would go "happy pi day.... now back to work".

Our school also celebrated pi day yesterday and we celebrated by a competition of who can count up to he most digits. I could only upto 6 ie 3.141593.

Pi day isn't celebrated in Australia as we write our dates 14.3 not 3.14

I dodn't celebrate it, but my trig techer told my that i was the first person to wish her a happy Pi Day!! :D
