I'm getting that too, so the problem isn't localized to him.
Perhaps whoever is hosting the chat's servers are overloaded right now.

Give it an half hour or so and try again.

probably just a problem with the sever, try again a bit later.

For future reference, as a general rule of thumb, if someone is having an issue with an internet based application (Such as the chat), try getting into it yourself before giving advice. ;)
Saves confusion.

Yes, but I think the problem was that more than just a couple of people couldn't get it and there were people in there. The message popped up on more for a long time.
