This morning, A girl named Megan Hanson Died, i didn't know her myself but pretty much all of my friends did. When the teacher got the email she cried, she was to read it to the class but couldn't, I volunteered, It was the saddest thing I've ever read out loud to a class, Half the class Started crying.
Like i said, i didn't know her, but when i got home, i cried.

Can anyone give me advice on how to talk to people and help them cheer up or at least stop crying?

First very sad to hear of someone so young passing. :(

I would just be there for them, comfort them and help them get through the grief. Be their friend even if they're not your friend. Just hug make them comfortable and help them get through it.

I remember at my High School, this girl and her boyfriend were killed after a basketball game. We had this big memorial, and it was on the news and everything. What made it worse, was that I was a friend of hers, so it really impacted me a lot.

I am so sorry to hear that. I would just support those people and stay strong for them.

Last year a guy at my school's girlfriend died in a fire after they wrecked their car drunk driving. He was thrown from the car when they hit the tree but somehow he was hardly hurt. He got back up and ran back to the car to save his girlfriend from the fire but he was too late and she was already dead and in flames. He tried to pull her from the car even as she was burning and so he too caught on fire.

Nearly 100% of his flesh was burned and he actually lost his hands completely. He hasn't been back to school since and he is under constant treatment and as far as I know he still isn't able to do almost anything on his own yet. I didn't know him myself but the story is just heart-wrenching.

R.I.P to the person at your school. Deaths are a very horrible thing to endure, but the best thing to do is to let the them go through a grieving process. First there is a denial stage then anger then finally acceptance. Some are easier to talk to then others just make sure you assure them that they are in a better place and that you are going to be there for them. comfort them as best as you can. If you need someone to talk to i will be here PM me anytime. i hope this helps

She was at your school, I assume?
Thats awful for anyone, let alone someone so young. :(
Don't try to stop crying, let the sadness out. Don't keep it in, ok, it will feel worse, let it out. Be there for the friends that knew her, it's gonna be hard for them.

May she rest in peace.

It is hard to see people from our school just go like this.

There were two brothers, who died when they were biking. On crashed and the other followed him, died when reached the hospital. This was 5 years back in 2005 summer.

Another one died, hit by a car when they outside. And this happened in 2007 summer.

A kid in our school, Michael Feeley died. I knew him and he was an alright guy but everyone else seemed pretty nonchalant, even happy about his passing.
