Leaving for college

I recently asked out a girl and we are both seniors in high school. I am going to a college 7-8 hours away while she is staying in my hometown for college. I'm more nervous because right now i have about 4 months with this girl and i want this relationship to last. I haven't even really mentioned this whole thing to her yet because i don't want her to worry about this when were both so happy. How do most people deal with a situation like this?

Well, first I would be honest with her about where your going to be going to for college. Secondly, try to worry so much its just the first leg of the race at the moment. A lot can happen in 4 months. If you get a lot closer in this time, and you both talk about it i see no reason why you can't stay in the relationship. Long distance is not always as hard as it looks, you also may be able to go back to your home town at weekends, and other occasions.
