Okay so my step mother&my father have been on and off for about 10 years now. &I consider my step sister my real sister. When our parents are together were insperable her family is mentally ill and also all on drugs or alchal. I've always taught her to stay away from them and stuff because shes so smart,literally she'd help me with my homework. Well shes 13 and shes starting to smoke and do drugs, he father is dieing has been for the past 2 year I believe?,in june. Im so angry with her,and upset that shed start doing this. I understand how she feels but I dont even wanna talk to her and I know im the only sane person in her life because my dad wont talk to her or my brother. So should I talk to her again and try to help her or is it a lost cause?

have you actually tried maybe itd be understandable to give up if shes given you reason to show you its a lost cause
but from what youve said
you aint done much to try and stop her
so actaully have a good go at helping her, its not rocket science its looking out for those close to you
