I don't really get peiod cramps that much, when you get a cramp use one of those things that you fill up with hot water. Just lay down and leave it there. It helps me :)

this might sound stupid, but putting a hot water bottle on your stomach helps :D and exercise sometimes helps :)

1. OTC pain relievers such as ibuprofen or naproxen used around the clock at the first sign of your period helps to reduce the severity of cramps in many women by inhibiting the release of prostaglandins.
2. Regular exercise such as walking helps to prevent or at least reduce the severity of menstrual cramps for some women.
3. Oral contraceptives may effectively reduce or eliminate menstrual cramps for some women; however you should consider the side effects of oral contraceptives before using them to prevent cramps.
4. Zinc, calcium, and B vitamins obtained in food and supplements have been found to reduce cramps, bloating and other symptoms.
5. Herbal remedies such as Viburnum prunifolium, Scutellaria spp., and Cimicifuga raemosa have an antispasmodic effect that may reduce some menstrual cramps.
6. A warm bath filled with aromatherapy or a heating pad on your lower abdomen and back is often helpful for relieving menstrual cramping.

Tips:

1. Always take painkillers with food to prevent stomach discomfort.
2. If you don't have a heating pad, you can make one by filling a sock (a men's tube sock works best) with rice and heating it in a microwave over for a few minutes.
3. Talk to your physician if these tips do not help, there may be an underlying cause. Severe sudden cramps, vomiting, or fever may be a sign of a medical emergency, contact your physician immediately.

I really do hope some of this will be of help to you, as it was to me several years ago.

Something that might work is birthcontrol pill, it'll make period lighter and help with cramps, my friend Tiffany takes them and her periods are alot lighter now.

Ok this might sound weird but:
Sex
Orgasms
Heating Pads/Hot Towels
Tylenol/Pain Releivers
Soothing Secrets such as the chinese Dong Quai root or the squawvine herb
The fetal position
Ibuprofin( see docter)
Sit Ups/ Crunches
Pineapple Juice
Yoga/ Meditation
Bananas
Pressure on the spot that hurts

Another way that helps is buying those things called HotHands and stick them in your pants, they dont get to hot and burn you.
Hope this helps!! c(:

I put my feet up on the wall with my back on the floor. And drink lots of water. Also, eating and then taking a pain reliever helps me.
Hope i helped.

A note, birth control can also make periods heavier in some women.

Anything heated (obv. dont burn yourself) can help, because it makes the muscles relax.
Basically cramps are your body pushing out tissue/blood (ew,i know), and if they do it too hard it hurts. Heat makes them relax

Most OTC painkillers are blood thinners, so be warned, if you take them your period might seem heavier. It's really just that the blood is thinner not more actually blood, but either way more liquid stuff.

I find getting some exercise helps me, like biking, jogging, dancing to music, etc. Taking a hot bath is great too, but you can also just put a hot water bottle over your tummy if you don't feel up to that, and it definitely helps a lot. Lying down for a while and maybe taking a nap is also really good. Be sure to keep hydrated too, drink lots of fluids like water, milk and juice. :)
