View Full Version : First time seeing me shirtless...

Me and my gf have been dating for a month, and it's winter here so she's never seen me shirtless. I'm decently built, but I have a really hairy body for a 16-year-old, even on my back! I have a back hair shaver, but should I let her know on our little date that I'm a hairy guy so she knows, and won't be surprised when we get intimate in the future? Or should I shave it and tell her later?

I'd just tell her, if she really likes you she's not going to care whether or not you have a lot of hair or a little hair.

I would do whatever feels most comfortable for you. Like Marcie said, If she loves you she's not going to care about how hairy you are. Try and find out what her preference is if you feel it may help.

I wish I could try and figure out, but I have no idea how to find out if she likes that or not. I wish I could find out though.

Just see how it goes, if she doesn't like it then just shave it off.

I might do that, but what if she just breaks it off with me about it? I've had a girlfriend do that to me before and I felt so terrible for like a month afterwards.

You've had a girl break up with you over body hair? Wow, that's really pathetic on her part. Good riddance!
I'm greek AND Italian so trust me, I understand what it means to be hairy lol. Firstly, if you really like her, and she really likes you, then it obviously doesn't matter at all. However, you need to ask yourself whether YOU want it or not. Don't base this on what your girlfriend prefers. If you like to be clean shaven then go for it. If you REALLY feel the need to get her input then just ask her what her opinion is.

Wow, Greek and Italian is probably the hairiest combination ever lol. I just feel awkward with a hairy back, but I want her to like me for me more than me needing to shave to keep her happy. I just want to find a girl who actually finds hairiness attractive lol.

"but I want her to like me for me more than me needing to shave to keep her happy."
And there's your answer.
Of course, this is all based on assuming that your girlfriend DOESN'T like you for who you are and that she Doesn't find it attractive. Give her the benefit of the doubt. She just might find it sexy. And if she doesn't, then if she likes you, she won't think about it.

That's true. I'll just have to see how she feels about it.

I've done a pretty good job of hiding it. Like, seeing my hairy legs and arms were unavoidable, but I wore polos areound her so she couldn't see my chest or back hair.

To be honest, I wouldn't even want to be going out with a girl that would break up with me just because of body hair.
I'm pretty sure if she didn't shave her legs she wouldn't be looking to good either.

After she said it I didn't want to date her, but it was a major blow to my self-esteem.

i would leave it, if she really likes you i doubt she would have an issue with it, but if she does you can shave it off later. But i really doubt it would be a huge issue. x

I feel a lot better. I was wearing shorts and she made a comment about how hairy my legs are. So I told her I'm a REALLY hairy guy, and she said she thought "sweaters are cute"! I'm glad I found a way to let her know.
