I was considering getting an iPod, but
1.) I'm not sure which one to get.
2.) Not sure if it's really worth the price.
&&
3.) I have a phone with an MP3 player and I'm not sure if I should waste the money just to get another MP3 player.

Think you guy's could help me out?

First, how much space (as in GB) are you looking at getting? iPods come in a variety of GB, and you obviously don't want to get too little or too much. I use an iPod Nano (3rd Gen) that's 8GB, and it works swell for me. The new iPod Nano (5th Gen), comes in 16 GB which is what I plan on getting sometime soon.

Second, are you just going to be using it for music or will you be doing other things (Apps, podcasts, TV shows, movies, etc. etc.)? Things like applications (for devices that can support them), podcasts, TV shows, and movies take up a certain amount of space on your iPod.

Third, how much do you want to spend? Obviously, the more space you get the more you pay, not to mention if it's a new or used iPod. How much can your phone have in terms of songs? If you get an iPod, you'll be able to load a good amount depending on what amount of storage you get for it.

I was just planning on Music and a movie or two.
I really don't wanna spend over $200.
And for how many GB, well I have a 2gb Micro SD for my phone and it's getting full.

Best Buy can actually give you a damn good price on iPods. The one I'm looking at is a16 GB Nano 5th gen for $165. It also depends on where you buy them. Any electronic needs should be bought at Best Buy for sure.

Music shouldn't be a big deal (unless your songs are a good long listen) and movies can sometimes take up space depending on how long they are in terms of hours and minutes. I'd suggest you look around at some stores and compare prices/sizes; I'm sure you'll find something for your interest.

I want to get a new iPod as well (my Creative Zen is a bit boring...). Get an iPod Touch. They are awesome. The new Nano records video now if that's what you want. But I would get a Touch.

I've never bought anything electronic related from Target, but don't get an iPod from Wal-Mart of all stores. They overcharge for most of their things, and the two year warranty they give is just overkill. As SuperShadows (sorry man, don't know your name) said, the new Nano can record video, it takes pictures, it can record with an internal microphone, and it even has an FM receiver. All of that can be bought at Wal-Mart for $250; get it at Best Buy, you'll have it for $165 (for a 16GB one).

I bought my Ipod Touch 8g for $220 but the extra $20 was for warranty. Best ipod I have bought. I have Step Brothers on it and its got a better screen for viewing videos. Also you can place apps on it and surf the WI-FI around you. So perhaps look at the perks about both decisions.

Id go with a mini ipod, they usually go for about 100+ and its perfect with people who dont have a ton of music.

The new Nano takes pics as well as records videos? I was told you could only record video... Oh and my name is Dan ;)

That's what I read a few months ago in my local newspaper; could be wrong since I haven't checked in a month or so.

Trust me if you get an iPod touch it will be worth it. You can watch videos & look at pics as well as listen to music and you can go on the internet in the Safari browser which is quite good. You can download all kind of apps for it like games and shit for free or a price. I want to get myself one sometime. They are good, lots of people have them. BTW if you don't want an iPod then you can always get Microsoft's Zune. I can't get one as it isn't available yet in the UK but from what I've seen it looks very good as well so it might be worth looking at that. You might just want to get a new phone that does this kind of stuff, in the case get an iPhone, Nokia 5800 or whatever or any other toushscreen phone like this. Just look around and find one. HTH .

Here (http://www.geek.com/articles/gadgets/nano-shoots-video-but-it-cant-take-photos-20090911/) it says that it doesn't take pictures. No big loss anyway, apparently it only has a 0.3MP camera.

If you phone has a lot of memory then go ahead and use that as your MP3 player.

In respect to iPods:
If you want games/apps I'd go with the touch, because that's the best one for games and apps.
Other than that I think the Classic is the best value for listening to music and watching videos. It has an enormous amount of memory (160GB) for less than the 32GB Ipod touch.
Personally I'd go with the classic

Ipod touches are by far the most useful devices as far as Ipods go, though like afore mentioned, it all depends on what YOU really want.
