No.. never.. Starving yourself actually makes it harder for you to lose weight. Eat healthy..exercise, and you'll have nothing to worry about. Everyone's body is different, especially during puberty.

The fact that you are questioning it already shows that somewhere you know it's a bad idea. It is never a good idea to starve, that is why there is the hunger reflex, because the body needs food.

ehh!! wrong, girl, starving dosent work, only diet and excersize can help you, drink plenty of water and stay away from sweets.

starving never works hun, just drink tons of water, before after and between meals, so you are fuller befroe you eat. eat lots of fruits and veggies, lower sugar, carb intake. and exercize.

Starving yourself will land you in a hospital being tube fed and hooked to IV's, malnutrition, extremely ill, and possibly death.
All for losing weight?
Do it the healthy way.

That's true. And it's never good to starve yourself. There's a reason why we eat. Lol. I would suggest doing 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 times a week and eating the right amount of portions according to the food guide (that will be really hard), treat yourself to a SMALL sweet at the end of each week, EAT 3 MEALS A DAY and drink plenty of water. (:

You're supposed to do an hour's exercise a day, so even doing it in four 15 minutes bursts through out the day could be helpful.
Always eat breakfast - something slow burning and healthy. So, something with oats and fruit. Aim to have 3-4 meals a day, not too large and snack on things like fruit and that to keep your energy up.
And drink plenty water and things to help hunger and make sure you're not dehaydrated.
Never starve yourself, it is never (and will never) be the answer. And you know that love.

Starving yourself makes your body hold onto the food and calories that you take in, it decreases your metabolism AND it'll make you grumpy. It also can cause alot of problems further down the track, and your more likely to put the weight back on.
Best thing to do is eat 4-5 meals a day, drink heaps of water and eat a load of fruit. :D
Do it the healthy way if you want to loose weight, there's nothing wrong with getting fit.
Sure, starvation CAN seem like a quick and easy way to drop pounds, but truthfully, it's slowly killing you inside (sometimes quickly...)
EDIT: There are a alot of different recommendations on how much you should be eating, but, its up to you, you know your body, just drink water, eat fruits and avoid sugar-filled foods and alcohol.

you're actually pretty hawt lol
anyways, no dont starve yourself, that wont help.
eventually when you have to eat, you will over eat which can seriously harm you.
just go on walk in the evening, have smaller meals, and for snack's have carrots or fruit.
one other thing, boiled chicken is really good for you if you're trying to loose weight, it is virtually empty of calories.

starving urself is never a good idea, eat until you are full and then stop and eat healthier foods or just try to cut out 1 bad thing....

Stop eating potatoes, I lost 55 pounds doing that and joining the cross country team, I now weigh in at 103 and am 5'4"

Nobody should starve themselves it isnt a matter of height or weight. Try proper healthy alternatives such as more exercise and cutting out any junk food you may eat.

The poster hasn't replied at all, & I think this thread has obviously gotten it's answers.
I think we should wait for the poster to reply back, and to maybe see if they've reconsidered & found other healthy ways to do this?

people are beautiful the way they are. and starving yourself is NEVER an answer to any problem. don't worry about your weight hun. you look okay to me.

I know that can be a tempting way to lose weight. trust me, ive been there! but it just ends up messing up your life and your health and stuff. it's not worth it.... stop before it's too late! a better way to go is healthy diet and exercise.

Dont starve yourself if you want to lose weight eat healthier meals and smaller meals. and you could also take up a sport or just walk to more places like to and from work/school.

noo dont do that, thats not gonna he;lp, you're just hurting yourself. the best part of is.. you are not gonna lose weight (yes sarcasm)
just exercise, eat healthy, go on a diet. if you dont like it, think how much it'll be worth when you start losing weight! :D

Starving yourself only causes a chain reaction for other problems to arise. If you want to lose the weight then you need to cut out the junk food all together and eat salad and protein. working out helped me big time, but it all depends on what you like to do set goals and start slow, but gradually work yourself harder and harder. I agree with BeautifulDisaster, however what I will say is no, you shouldn't. You'll only put more weight on when you start eating again, because you can't starve yourself forever.
