What is the difference between a quick reply and replying using Post reply option?
Thanks in advance.

Post reply will have better things in editing. Like word alignment, change the font and color and more smilies and those things.

I know about boards, in particular vB and phbb :P

Quick Reply explains itself. You are able to reply on the same page as the thread.

Normal reply allows you access to more options. Such as font change, color change. It also gives you access to Smileys.

Quick reply lets you see the messages that you may be replying to without quoting or opening another window (that's all I do it for anyway) plus the fact it's quick.

Whereas normal reply mode gives you way more options for fonts, colours, size, attachments, pictures, links, quoting etc..

Is this for real or I am suffering from extreme paramnesia? :eyebrow:

I think two others answered this. Isn't that enough instead of repeating it?

You're new, so I'll explain this to you.

People repeat answers after other people all the time for reassurance or, in this case, a better and more detailed answer. If you are planning on staying here then get used to people saying similar things to you.

^ Expanding from what Ben said, some people also just scroll to the bottom and type it and not bother read any other posts ^

Quick reply is exactly that. Its a mean for a quick post. Normal has more of an editing side to it. Like spacing, youtube, fonts... etc. :) It also has the list of smilies. :D Everyone loves smilies.

quick reply is where u just post it quick

a normal reply is where u can add things like smileys, quotes and various other item that you think may be better for your post.

Wrong.
You can actually see all the messages in the thread if you scroll down from the normal reply box, going from newest at the top...

I didn't say you couldn't do it in normal mode.
Besides, if you use quick reply you can see peoples ages, location, post count etc.. if you're posting about something like that for example.
