What does it mean when a girl says "I can't date you because it would ruin our friendship"


EDIT: I decided to change this topic just focusing around me and this girl... Mainly because it was focused around this anyway so i figure that it doesn't matter.

lol , my friend wanted to go out with my other friend, but she was like "we're tooo good friends"
.....she told me its cuz hes too ugly :S
but they ARE really good friends....

There probably is a chance you two might be more then friends. In some situations, I would like to say most, two people start off as friends and slowly become more then that. There might even be another reason to why she's saying that. Maybe she only sees you as a friend and nothing more. Does she talk about other guys around you?

Everyone in a while, but i know the guy and he is dating her friend. Sometimes she talks about her other friends that are like 20 and such, other then that not really.

I really see your point there. It is like the lowest thing on reasons to date someone. It should be about who are and the relationship, not what people look like. And the fact you see that means that the decent girls will be the ones who want you x
