so today i was starting to feel real anxious and it got bad and i didnt have my seroquel on me, so my friend gave me a xanax, i took it and i felt super tired and out of it and fell asleep, and after i woke up i felt depressed and still do, and this was in the morning. usually im relaxed and generally happy, so as long as i dont take it again do you think this will wear off?

You should never take medicine that you are not prescribed to. Events like you discussed could happen. Only take medicine that is yours.

Adding to what has already been said:
In addition to not taking medication that is not yours, it is never a good idea to take any medication while another might still be in your system (unless cleared by your doctor); this can be very dangerous and can cause serious health issues.

Yes it will ware off but it is the price you pay when you mix medications together. Even though you may have not taken Seroquel, it has a half-life of 6 hours, so depending when you took it last, some of it could still be in your system when you took the Xanax. We all learn from mistakes so hopefully this was does not get repeated.

The "super tired" and falling asleep are exactly what your body should do when you mix an anti-psychotic and an anti-depressant. Xanax, like all anti-depressant, can cause depression and even suicidal thoughts, especially in teens (that's us). Moral of the story: don't take drugs that aren't prescribed to you and NEVER mix drugs.
