I say def go to a doctor! They shouldn't be lasting 2 weeks ever. There are also pills for cramps and such and heated pads as well so you could maybe try those but pleaasee go to the doctor. And if you're afraid of doing that, they have special doctors called gynecologists, and they focus on these types of things. It's truly not scary at all but she might be able to help with your problem.

I was in exactly the same boat as you, my periods used to drive me up the wall, so irregular for who knew how long, all over the place, bane of my life.
My life saver was the contraceptive pill. It regulates my period, I have three weeks of no period, and then during my week off I have my period, which usually starts a few days after stopping taking the pill and ends pretty quickly once I'm back taking it.
I'd advise you to go to your doctor and see what they advise you to do.

I was going to suggest the pill but the question isn't about how regular it is. It's about how it drains her and how heavy it is. If it is about regularity though I would definitely suggest taking the pill.

Two week periods are not normal, and if you are suffering really heavy flows you definitely need to see a doctor/gynecologist for medical advice...maybe you will need to go on the pill to help with your problems.
Please do not be scared or afraid of going, they are there to help you.
