I've recently created a gaming forum,How do i get more members for it?

Tell people about it, tell them to tell other people etc. Advertising via the host site is generally expensive sometimes, so its better to just try to gather members by other means

Posts and signatures that advertise other websites and other flagrant advertising are not permitted. Links to external sites are allowed when they relate to a discussion, in your signature, the website section of your profile, and the Affiliate Member Sites and Links forum (with affiliate guidelines followed).

If you follow this rule set by the admins of vt, you should be able to put a link somewhere on here, such as your profile. If it would help i would be happy to join and try to get you some publicity

Time. And spreading it about too sometimes work. Tell a friend, and ask them to tell their friends etc. You can also in some cases place a link in VT (on your profile) etc. :)

the best thing to do is to advertise it to professional over other gaming forms make it sound fresh and interesting.

then the members should flood but you also have to keep the site mantanied you need to find the right people to halp run the site.

do all this and you might just make a half decent fourm good luck!

Just registered. A couple suggestions: maybe move the login area to the top, a lot of people won't look at the bottom for it. And in the login in boxes, the font color is the same as the box color, so you can't see what you're typing.

The login area is on Top - The font color is white and the box is black, that is if you click in the box and then you type; in the beginning it is yellow, but will revert to mono-color if you click it.

Ok, sorry, I didn't see the Log In button. And its still the same, but only in Google Chrome. It works fine in Internet Explorer. But thats my problem and not yours :P

You could also advertise it in a video and upload it to youtube. you could make a fan page on facebook and get fans. you could of course post it on myspace and facebook and bebo and all those.

I think this forum can be good.
I'm adding stuff to the download areas almost daily.

Have Purchased a 30 Day Rapidshare account.Will be uploading more stuff later tonight.Got a lot of Live Music and Football Matches on my computer,They will be added to the download area after upload.

For starters, don't create forums on farms, especially Forumotion. Find a script you like, download it, install it on whatever server you want to use. It gives you much more control and stops you looking like a legal skiddie. Props on the warez, though, but I could get much more elsewhere.

You arent very open. "Sport Games" "Racing Games" "Other Games". Dude, I hate Sport and Racing games, I dont want to put Adventure, RPG, Shooting, Simulation and Card games in "Other". Not joining until you work a on it a bit more. Sorry.
