I currently want to lose any extra fat that is not needed to maintain a healthy body, in my other post "shoulders and core" i mentioned that I work out 3 times a week for one hour each time (includes ergos and a bit of running) - I was just wondering if an excess of coca-cola has too much sugar, and in turn adds to unnecessary energy/fat.

I currently drink 2-3 coke cans (375ml) per day, and I know this isn't exactly healthy, but are there any risks in drinking this much, and how does it relate to fat and unnecessary sugars?

Soda is bad for your kidneys. But then again, lots of things are bad for you.

I would drink probably 1 can. Not 3 or 4.

If you are trying to workout, I would just drink water. Maybe a sports drink with little sugar, but water is the best thing to drink if you are trying to lose weight, while working out.

Start to ween yourself off of it. Start drinking things like water or maybe some type of juice. I've found that orange juice has satisfied my cravings for a can of Coca-Cola, but it might be different for you. Eventually, you'll be drinking less and less. But I would go with water overall. It's better for your body, good for workouts, no sugar.

Haha funny you should mention orange juice, i'm also addicted to that too and drink 3 glasses a day of it, that has sugar as well; but it's good for me so I justify it.

Switch the cola for water, if you don't like water then have some squash or tea (without suga preferably), water is the best thing for you

Slowly reduce it until you're drinking like 1 every other day at least.

Do 2 a day. Then alternate between 2 one day and 1 the next. Then 1 each day. Then one every day, so on and so forth. Good luck.

If you have trouble going straight to water you could try tea as an intermediate step. It's got some of the caffeine and has more texture to it. Of course, a hot beverage would be rather different than a cold soda... iced tea maybe?

Thanks guys. Am trying the ween haha, I had 2 two days ago, 2 yesterday, and i'm trying none today and one tomorow, seeing if that's effective or if my craving just hits the peak of 3 again lol. If that doesn't work I'm going to go..
Wednesday: 2.
Thursday: 1.
Friday: 2.
Saturday: 1.
Sunday: 1.
Monday: 1... And hopefully this should be enough, I will most probably stay at 1 for a while just to get used to it.

why not just cut down to 2 cans a day if your that fussed. an average can has 39% of your GDA sugar 3 cans is 117% which i would normally drink and i notice no differance in my body weight due to it, but two will be 78% so go nuts!
