Right, let me basically describe my friend group (not using real names)

Leanne: She is pretty but doesn't think she is, is very under-confident, and very easily led. Before I joined the friend group she was best friends with Sara. Then she was my 'best' friend. Recently Sara has convinced her I'm a slag (by spreading rumours that I sleep around, which I don't) who secretly hates them all (obviously not true).

Sara: Is a total bitch, who has told everyone they shouldn't be friends with me because I have self harmed in the past and might contaminate them. Her words not mine.

Ryan: A really nice boy who was bullied and unpopular before I made friends with him, but now he doesn't want to be my friend because Sara doesn't approve of me.

Dave: A really nice guy, Sara went out with him and told a few people he raped her so she dumped him. Knowing them it's obviously not true. Is friends with Sara again now.

Kyle: Another nice guy, he is not very confident in social situations. He went out with Sara and she basically smashed his heart and left him suicidal, and as soon as he'd healed again, she dated him for a day before dumping him again, slashing open barely healed wounds.

Damian: My best friend in the world, he is also out-cast-ed from the group by Sara, condemned for being 'emo' in her definition (wow, he has a black fringe covering one eye and listens to rock music, we should all hate him!)

How come everyone loves Sara even when she's such a BITCH?! And how can I fix this situation? Things used to be really great, I used to be the one everyone likes, now no one likes me because they either think the rumours Sara spread about me are true or because they'd rather be friends with Sara than me and don't want to risk her disliking them for being my friend!

I can't help but think we're too old for this, but I can't think of a way out of it... ):

Ok ive kinda been in this situation, Try and talk to your friends other than Sara, on a one-to-one level, Be really serious with them and reassure them that you havent slept around and such.

Fighting fire with fire will make a bigger fire. What you do is dump water all over the fire.

What I mean by this is just ignore it. I know it is unusual advice but it works. If you get stressed out, ignore it until you get home. I've done this before and people just stop talking about me. If they don't see a rise out of you they will stop in time. Some will agitate longer than others. I hope this helps.

I think it is very immature to spread rumors. That was like soo junior high school. What you should do is ignore those rumors because if she knows it bothers you, she will keep doing it. If she is really that bad, you shouldn`t hang around her. A friend doesn`t make another friend feel like crap.

If you want to be friends with them again, you shouldn't worry about the thing I quoted, because if she dislikes them, it's her problem. Besides, she is a bitch, you don't want your friends to hang around with her.

Talk to the friends who are still with Sara and tell them what she did, everything, make them believe you. If they really are your friends, they'll believe you and be on your side. Then, she will be all alone, that is one of the worst things in the world, so she can realize she can't do what she did. (I know, it sounds harsh, but you know what she did)

Me and my two best friends did the same with another friend, except that the problem which caused it was something else. (If you want details, PM me)
And, guess what, it worked, she realized she was a bitch to us too. Now she wants to get back with us, but we hate her, so we won't let it happen.

Good idea, I think I will have a sit down with them and sort of tell them what's been happening - if I say about all the shit people have been through, not just me, and show them how she just turns on people when she's like bored with them or whatever, they'll have to believe me because it's so true, thank you so much for all the advise guys especially karastes!!! xx
