Watch the video, and tell me what you think.
Personaly I text all the time, I'm not addicted to it and I don't have slipping grades. I think people are blaming things to much on cellphones.

Have you guys ever had slipping grades because of your cellphone?

No, i don't think it has anything to do with cell phones

It has to do with the individual and knowing their limits.
I text all the time. In class, in the halls, while ON the phone, while watching TV, while on the computer, and before I go to bed.
But I concentrate on my work and make sure I get it done.
Therefor, I get both. Texting and good grades.
Sure, teens get addicted easily, but it's their own faults.

How does texting mess up your grades? Lol, what a fail excuse.

But I've never been addicted.

When I actually had a cell phone I wasn't addicted, but I sure as hell were pissed if I didn't have it with me.

That's how I am, I hate not having my cell with me.
And you need to get a new cell. :P

This seems to be playing at the wonderful world of correlations: lower grade with higher phone usage. Sure, there's a relationship but that's not proof of causality or directionality, or that something else isn't causing the lower grades. If it's not completely then it's at least partially the student's fault because they are the ones using the phone, theoretically doing the homework and writing the labs, essays, tests, exams and whatever else. The phone isn't doing any of that, the student is.
