After the Canadian team beat the US's women's team 2-0 on Thursday, they celebrated by drinking beer and smoking cigars out on the ice after everyone had left.
The US team is using this against them, saying it's wrong, because one of the girls on the team was 18.
What do you guys think about this? I think it's perfectly fine, she was nearly the drinking age anyway, and she just won a gold medal! There's nothing wrong with a little Canadian celebration!
I think the US team is just bitter, what do you guys think?

That's exactly what it is. It's a bunch of ugly americans trying to to look like the victims because they lost. All the women did was party after the arena was emptied no americans were even present. But they saw the pictures then complained.
It is completely ridiculous to complain about this and it makes the american team look like a bunch of bitches who are mad they lost.

Actually the issue was mainly with the International Olympics Committee (IOC) who said that the behavior of ALL the hockey players was inappropriate and then ragged on the 18-year old. The US team didn't have much to do with ragging on the Canadian hockey team, I'm not even sure they did rag on them in the first place. However, the IOC stated they won't launch an investigation into it but they will need "more information" on something involved in the issue.

what do they need to investigate
Canadia win=canadia happy=Canadia party
wassup with that
if America wasnt so self centred and self confident thinking they could win everything then it wouldnt have been such a big deal for Canada and that wouldnt have needed to happen.
Silly America, learn to take defeat

The IOC is straight to the book and in this case, seem to be out of touch with reality. The fact that the athlete drank in public is inappopriate regardless of the fact they won Olympic Gold, at least to the IOC. As for what they need to investigate, I haven't a clue but if you Google up the IOC and this year's Olympics, you'll find this is by far not the first time they've come out and ragged on someone for celebrating. They seem to give athletes a higher than ordinary standard because they're Olympic athletes.

What does any of this have to do with America? The IOC isn't American and Team USA didn't say anything about Team Canada celebrating so I'm not sure why America is getting smeared in this.

I lol at this seriously. Mainly based on the IOC being primarily french (particularly with Jacques Rogge) and the drinking age in france being 16. Sure they aren't setting a clean example to everyone, but they are showing that we should relax and have fun once in a while.

Those bitches can show a little sportsmanship. Maybe by doing this outside of the fucking arena?
Your saying if the American team went out on the ice and started drinking like horses, and smoking cigars you wouldn't complain?
They should be investigated for this. It is utter bull shit that they're coach allowed them to do this in the first place.
