Hey.
Erm i have quite long, greasy hair, and it never straightens well.
Anyway,i hate it because its so greasy and unmanageable, but i love it bc i can do my bedhair style with it.lol.
I use texture gum in my hair every weekday when im in college.
But not on weekends when im home.
Ive tried different shampoos and conditioners and tried not using styling products but my hair is still greasy and cruddy.i brush my hair twice daily and it doesnt help much.
Any suggestions on how to make it 'un-greasy' and more manageable?
Thank you.

Grease is a natural things, the glands in your scalp is pretty active in releasing grease.

There are shampoos for oily hair, and even some products.
I don't know much on the product. My hair is silky but it is dry and unmanageable, either I cut it or keep it as it is.

Use a clarifying shampoo that takes out the residue, the greasyness is likely just product that isn't washing out. Also, when you are washing, dilute your shampoo with some water, and rub it into your scalp only! You don't need to wash the ends like you see in shampoo commercials, it'll just cause them to dry out, which will make your roots seem oily in comparison.

When you wash the shampoo out of your hair, the run off will be enough to clean your ends! Remember to not use your fingernails, use the pads of your fingers, using your nails causes the cuticle to get scratched and become dull.
