My last try at sparking something other then hate in this section of the forums.

What do you think of Owl City and what is your favorite song by him? What about this feud going on between people who liked him before he got real big and people who like him because they heard one of his more popular songs somewhere?

owl city is an alright band. i wouldnt be able to get into his songs. fireflies is ok, i kind of like it, vanilla twilight, i would give that 3 1/2 stars out of 5. i really havnt listened to most of his songs. but i do love the voice effects he uses.

I enjoy Owl City a lot. Not the deepest stuff ever, but it's good easy listening and quite catchy. All the songs sound more or less the same, but since "the same" is something I liked listening to in the first place, that doesn't bother me.

well, i first heard him when he got big with fireflies. there's something catchy about his songs, like Vanilla Twilight and Hello Seattle ((they're my favourite songs)) and i can't say anything about the feud because i'm one of those people who became his fan after he got big. och... but what i hate is people who've ONLY listened to fireflies saying they're his biggest fans... that pisses me off to the max!!

The music is alright I suppose, I have some songs on my iPod.
Usually shuffle them..so tend not to listen.
Catchy tunes but that's about it.
Doesn't really matter to me either way tbh :P

Well you definately can't say he's like all other artist's. What annoys me the most is when people say, "OMG, I love Owl city they are so good!!"

I love the vivid descriptions hr uses.

Something I hate about artist from 2009:

They are all so generic. Commercials looking for that new age sound caused this.

Now then.. Owl City are dece. not amazing. but they had a hit song that was a little too overhyped compared to how good it is.
