God, am i tired of seeing this. You see, I will go days without being on VT and then be on vt for hours at a time and generally i find a lot of posts that i both like and dislike so i will want to give rep. But after like 5 people I am denied of that. I am suggesting either elimination of this or some kind of way to increase the amount of rep you can give before the little window pops up and says,
"You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later."

and its to stop people abusing it and repping the same people hundreds of times a day so that they get super high rep

Reputation is points you earn for your posts. If someone likes your post they can give you positive rep points, if someone dislikes the post they can give you negative points. Your rep is displayed under our post count and also can be seen in the user cp.

There are two different messages. One says You already gave reputation to this user spread some rep around before giving it to the user again. The other says, You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.
The second one is the one I want impeached. Because I will see a post I like want to rep it up but I can't because I already repped a few others.
Also my current rep has nothing to do with this suggestion. I might get better rep others might already have better rep and want to give rep yo more people.

its gonna stay so no one abuses the system more than it already is
no one else seems to have the problem
we do the sensible thing and wait for the next day
and we dont rep every single post we see

Okay...you can't "impeach" the rep system.

But back to the point, they have these restrictions in place for a reason. It is to slow the growth and prevent abuse to the system.
If we removed that, you would probably rep every single post you think you agree with. Thats too much buddy.

Just wait a day, and you will be able to rep again.

Its not going to be "impeached" though, it has purpose

but it doesnt matter if you give rep to more people, because if:

Y=rep and X=Other Persons Rep,

X + 0y = X

you dont influence their rep, whatsoever. they dont know whether your rep is good or bad. its like throwing a blade of grass on a full lawn.

People give positive/negative reputation to others by their own accord and reasons. If you have a problem with the reputation system, please talk to an admin about that.

This is just turning into a complaint thread over something that doesn't even matter or mean anything. If you don't like reputation, turn it off or ignore it. We have no plans to change the way the system operates. It is what it is.
