Its been a while since i posted anything so im not sure if this goes here anyways but anyways this is supposed to be a ballad poem that i had to do for english class. Enjoy!
This is the day the world came to an end
The night was dark with the mooning shining bright.
The twilight sky had just gone down
And all I could see were the bright of your eyes.
As the minutes passed on by
Time slept away for both of us but we were unaware of the danger up ahead.
I saw an angel that said to me, "Beware, Beware,
Danger is a-coming!" but I paid no attention and we both paid the price.
"As long as your with me," I promised her
"You'll be safe and sound."
All was a lie when the assassins came around
Took her away from my embrace.
As they took her away she screamed and screamed.
A river of tears rolled off her eyes
I ran and ran but too late it was
They had stabbed her by and she was a-dying.
With her last breath she said to me, "I love you."
"I love you, too," and she laid dying in my arms.
Until this day i mourn her death,
Til' the day death takes my last breath.
