Teacher Might Be Gay...

A few days ago, we were on laptops in class. We ran out, and the teacher said a few students could use his personal computer. They opened a new tab and up came most visited sites. One of them was gay porn. He's not married. He has no girlfriend that we know of. I'm pretty sure he's gay...

I, personally, was shocked. I'm 100% with gays and homosexuality, but my teacher? I never thought of him that way before... or sexually at all, of course. It's kind of awkward now...

The worst part is students talking behind his back. They make fun of him for possibly being gay. This is all really confusing and I would appreciate some advice about how to feel. Thanks!

You need to trust that your teacher knows how to draw the line between work and personal life. Unless he says or does something inappropriate, you should try not to let this affect you and your studies.

If he is gay than that's not really anything to do with students, just because gay porn was on his history it doesn't mean he's gay. He's a human, humans have urges. His urge is probably gay porn, it doesn't mean that because he watches it he's gay..

What should it matter if your teacher is gay. It is not your business to know what his feelings are to whatever sex. Him being gay will not affect your education in any way, so it is nothing for you to worry about.

The students are treating him like he's a child molester, not gay. But then again, that's how most kids at my school think of gays in general.

Firstly, as others have said, rare that a teacher will let a student use his personal computer, does it matter if he looks at gay porn? This doesn't make him gay, it just means he gets more of a 'buzz' out of looking at gay porn, OR someone else could've been using his computer and is that way inclined.

Thought of him what way? Why would someone's sexuality change your opinion on them? That's silly and irresponsible, how would you like it if people change their opinions on you because of your sexuality?
It's only awkward because you've made it awkwards, and just because someone is gay, or bi, or straight, it doesn't mean that you HAVE to think of them sexually.

I don't see how it's like re-meeting him, I assume you might never have asked? It's not something people run around screaming at the tops of their lungs because they feel like it, neither is it ethical for a teacher to bring to topic up in class.
If the students are bagging him out and being idiots, don't follow their lead.
If he's a good teacher, then he's a good teacher, regardless of his sexuality. Don't let it change your opinion on him, considering that this is all an assumption that he's gay or bi because he has gay porn history on his personal computer...

He wasn't WATCHING porn at school, it was history on a personal computer, with some browsers if you open a new tab it'll either show a list of some form of recently closed tabs, somone apparently (if it was him or not...) had gay porn up on his computer recently. *shrug*

Actually on windows computers, when a tab is opened it automatically comes up with a list of the most veiwed sites along with screenshots of them. So really the kids weren't snooping around at all.

I would just treat him the same as what you were treating him before you found out anything. He still is the same guy that he was before, but now you just know a little bit more about him. I've had a gay teacher before and all of the kids would always make fun of him and stuff.
