Help please, SLR's

I need someone who is an expert or at least knows what they are doing with SLR cameras (film).

I passed grade 11 photography, but only because I handed in every photo assigment, never paid attention in class, never did any written work, so I do not know much theory.

PLEASE PM me if you know a lot about SLR's.
